Mechanicsburg, PA, January 8, 1996 -- InSoft, Inc., a worldwide leader in network-based communications and collaborative multimedia software for the Intranet, today announced a suite of Internet applications and tools that will enable users to leverage a host of HTML, data collaboration, audio and video applications with seamless connectivity between the Internet, Intranet and telecommunications services.

Called Interactive Internet Collaborative Environment, or IICE, it consists of commercial quality, standards-based data collaboration, audio and video applications called CoolTalk 14.4, CoolTalk 28.8 and CoolView; and, a powerful multimedia developer toolkit called ICEmaker.

The Interactive Internet Collaborative Environment, IICE, platform supports Windows '95 Multimedia PCs and includes:

CoolTalk 14.40 and CoolTalk 28.8. A powerful Shared Whiteboard and Chat Tool with high quality GSM inband audio for 14.4 and 28.8 Kbps modems respectively; supports Microsoft® Sound System compatible audio boards. List price: CoolTalk 14.4 ($49.95); CoolTalk 28.8 ($69.95).

CoolView. Incorporates H.261 desktop videoconferencing with Shared Whiteboard and Chat Tool functionality. Runs over 28.8 Kbps modems and supports Video-for-Windows® compliant video capture cards and Microsoft® Sound System compatible audio boards. List price is $149.95.

ICEMaker. A Collaborative Multimedia Developer Toolkit that enables programmers to build fully distributed multimedia Internet applications that can support real-time audio and video. These applications can also "plugin" to CoolTalk and CoolView. List Price is $795.99.

The InSoft Internet Communications Server. Brings multimedia calling features to corporate Web sites, enabling real-time Web-based inquiry handling. It is the only technology to integrate the Internet with industry standard telephony capabilities such as call transfer, hold, add/drop, conference calling, hunt groups and H.320 connectivity for videoconferencing.
