As SCSI bus transmission speeds increase, the quality of the SCSI cable becomes essential for peak performance. Quality SCSI cables don't have to be expensive, but they must be properly constructed, using the right materials. MDL starts with high quality double shielded twisted-pair cable. By properly placing the signal and ground lines, MDL's cables allow the fastest transmission rates possible. To reduce emissions to an absolute minimum, the copper foil shield within the cable is soldered 360 degrees around the shell of each connector. With gold-plated contacts on the connectors, MDL cables ensure trouble-free data transmission at the highest possible speeds.

For Ultra-2/LVD, Ultra160m and Ultra320 applications, MDL offers external cables rated at 124 ohm differential impedance. These cables utilize the latest in Madison (or equivalent) LVD cable technology, and are available with either high density 68 pin connectors, or VHDCI (0.8mm) connectors. MDL also offers LVD terminators with both styles of connectors.

For Ultra-1 SCSI drive applications, where bus lengths must be kept to a minimum, MDL offers cables as short as 12 inches. For differential SCSI environments, MDL stocks cables up to 25 feet, and can deliver longer cables in 3-4 days.

For Fibre Channel applications MDL offers optical and copper cables in lengths as short as 0.5 meters. Copper cables are available with either or both DB9 and HSSDC connectors.
