Welcome!

We’re glad you have chosen Communique!, the industry leading collaborative computing and desktop conferencing application. Communique! is the only desktop conferencing application supporting both PC and UNIX desktops providing transparent video compression and network interoperability for true, open conferencing. With Communique!, you can have a meeting between desktops spanning an entire network.

Communique! contains a suite of easily managed collaborative and teleconferencing tools, called Plugins, for productive and intuitive real-time conferencing with fellow workgroup members. These Plugins are implemented using MDL's OpenDVE architecture, our development environment for creating distributed applications and custom conference Plugins.

OpenDVE is available for you to use building native collaborative and conference capability directly into your applications. You can also write and market custom Plugins for your OpenDVE-enabled application and make them available to the entire Communique! user-base. As more and more Plugins become available, your Communique! conferencing environment is open to grow into virtually unlimited functionality.

Communique! is bundled with several OpenDVE-based Plugins. Communique!'s modular design gives you the option to deploy productive, lower-bandwidth conference solutions and migrate to more powerful videoconferencing capabilities as your needs change. MDL's Communique! Lite includes MDL's shared White Board with other text and graphic modules; Lite can also be seamlessly upgraded to audio and video. Communique! AudioGraph bundles full-featured audio with the other Plugins, still limited to only receiving video. The fully-enabled Communique! package combines complete collaborative and audio and video support making it the mature and robust videoconferencing and collaborative computing environment on your desktop.

Several optional Plugins are available, including the Imager, which provides users with 24-bit True Color support, and slide show presentation capabilities, SHARE, which allows users to share X-based applications, and the Speaker Phone, a high performance multicast based audio tool.
