The 23GB single ended narrow drive was connected to the C160’s core single ended SCSI bus. Since it is already known that the drive is capable of much higher throughput than the standard speed of that bus, it was decided to test the C160’s single ended bus at the fast (10 MHz) data rate.
The “pits” are due to an error in testing. The screen saver had periods of high computation which negatively affected the results. Most, if not all, of the other tests employed the “blank” screen saver.
