D280 Disk Subsystem

The new D280 disk subsystem offers lightning speed and the flexibility to grow storage at your own pace. This enterprise-class storage solution satisfies the most demanding requirements for throughput and transaction processing applications. With the D280's unprecedented performance, it is the ideal solution for extremely high I/O applications like ERP, OLTP, web servers and exchange servers. StorageTek’s Intelligent Blade Architecture (IBA) combines the affordability of ATA disk technology with the performance of Fibre-Channel to create high capacity storage blades that are then used to create a high-density disk subsystem optimized for secondary or capacity disk applications.
